Mark T. Brown, MD, FACS
Dr. Mark T. Brown has been in practice as a Head and Neck Surgeon, Ear Nose and Throat specialist for over a decade. He has practiced in Central Texas since 1999. His philosophy includes providing the time and attention that each patient requires to explore, examine, and treat their particular problem. He strives to provide personal care in an environment that encourages trust and builds a strong relationship with the patient. Paige Peterson, AuD, PhD, CCC-A, FAAA, ABA
Dr. Paige Peterson joined Great Hills ENT in 2012. She received her Audiological training from the University of Wyoming (Laramie, WY) , Univeristy of Kansas (Lawrence, KS) and University of Kansas Medical Center (Kansas City, KS). She began her career with service in the VA Health Care System (Colmery- O’Neal VAMC) in Topeka, KS and later transferred to New Mexico to serve within four Native communities. In 2010 she left government service to pursue research and network applications of direct patient care via telemedical applications. As the founder and President of Teledoc™, her research currently involves direct patient care for both adults and pediatric populations using tele-audiology as well as exploring other telemedical solutions for improving the quality of patient care. Taryn Shelton, AuD
Dr. Taryn Shelton is the newest edition to the Great Hills ENT staff. Dr. Shelton serves as an audiologist for this clinic. She is a Texas state licensed doctor of audiology. She is also certified by American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (CCC-A). She received her doctorate of audiology from the University of Texas in Austin. Before this, she completed her Bachelors of Science at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas gaining her degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences. Dr. Shelton completed her residency at the Central Texas Veteran’s Affairs Healthcare System in Temple, Texas where she worked with veterans and their hearing and balance needs. Read More >>
Alicia Harrington, PT, DPT
Dr. Alicia Harrington received her Doctor of Phyiscal Therapy degree from Utica College in New York. As a physical therapist, Dr. Harrington specializes in the treatment of people with neurologic and vestibular disorders. She began her career working at the balance and vestibular clinic at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medcal Center in New Hampshire. Collette Rhoden, PT, DPT
Dr. Collette Rhoden received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014 from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. She later returned to work in her hometown of New York City for a little over a year before pursuing her dream of becoming a Travel Physical Therapist. For over 2 years Dr. Rhoden acquired 6 Physical Therapy state licenses and worked in many states including Virginia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Texas. During her travels she worked very closely with patients seeking treatment for gait and balance disorders, vertigo/dizziness and concussion injury and became very fond of working with that specific population. While on her assignment in Texas she developed an admiration for the people of the state as well as the lifestyle and decided a year later to move down permanently. Rowan Lang attended the University of Tennessee (the other UT) where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014 with an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders. Rowan continues her education at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, having received her Master of Science in the summer of 2016 and expecting to graduate with her Doctorate of Audiology in May of 2018.
Being a hearing aid user herself, Rowan strives to practice patient-centered care, providing patients with the knowledge and tools they need to be self-advocates rather than victims of hearing loss. She believes that a greater quality of life can be achieved despite heaaring loss through appropriate amplification and a continuous patient-provider dialogue. Rowan also enjoys the evaluation of dizziness and vertigo and can often be found in our vestibular clinic performing videonystagmography, video head impulse, posturography, and electrocochleography evaluations.
